Anyone know if items decay if left in chests?
I have alost of stuff taking up inventory room (Shaft for Gessen bow, Pommel Jewel, etc..), if I were dump that stuff in a chest or bookshelf in a building, like the Mayor of Umar...or The keep, will it decay?

Wow......As a Cavalier the Dualclas featrue isn't open to me....May be its just the Cavalier

1 - Kits can't dualclass
2 - If you wanna do a mage, I suggest pure mage, better spell combo's faster, and if you play him right the HP's issue....won't be an issue . I carried over my fighter from BG1 and dual'd him to mage in BG2..All I gained was HP's. Combo's like Haste/Stoneskin/MirrorImage ...

K gotcha, I am on my second time thorugh the game and Just ran through it the first time, hell never even got the ring of gaxx.

I found as a fighter, dual-classed to mage was pretty easy....So I am doing it again with a Cavalier....Try to make the game more intense by actually being up front ...

hehe, I feel stupid...I didnt post the first half of my message. There is a "bug" due to slaying dragons, but I was refering to the method they suggest with going in prep'd with Creatures, etc...The stupid FoW method and the whole "pause" things IS cheating. The dragon stragety has multiple ways to ...

So relativly speaking.....If you were fighting a war and knew of a flaw in the enemies line, and you took advantage of it....You would be "cheating".

Hmmm Kind of a cheat, but I went after fighting those damned Umberhulks....Only spells I had left were a couple webs, entagles, cloudkills, and stinking clouds. I charged in with my Paly and Minsc (hasted) and ran back luring em all into a tanle of gas, webs, and roots......Worked well for me ...

Question out there for anyone...

I find that I can't equip and AC bonus armor when an item of protection is equipped (ex, cloak +1 or Ring).

I then scan the board and find people with magic armor and magic rings, etc. I begin to wonder why it is I cannot....


Any help would be GREAT!!!

Hmmmm, I had the same question, but after fooling with Valygar (who is the coolest NPC in the game, look wise....dual Kats etc.) He seemed to be lacking in the group and I died alot more. To be honest with you, I find that if I really have to heal mid fight, I am gonna lose...all healing does is ...

I can't go thorugh BG1 again Arrgghh...I would have to hit the config file and equip all my group with boots of speed. Too many Zones ;p

Anyway my Paly's stats are as follows:
str 17, dex 16, con 18, int 9, wis 16, cha 17

Equip: The talking 2-hander ...

What if I start the game a fighter, progress past Nalia's quest and retain the Keep for myself.
After which I dual-class to a wizard....and Accomplish the Planar Sphere quest to add that to my holdings.

Will I lose ownership of ...
