Re: Diablo fan base

Yes, I rather expect that DS will appeal to fans of Diablo-type games. The nice thing about Diablo is that it offered a fast-paced game with some RPG elements. This offered gamers with shorter attention spans the opportunity to enjoy some ...

I like to totally control my char's actions and movement in a suposedly action oriented game (let's face it, this game is more action than RPG). in that sense D2 was better. But I'm bored of D2 now and disappointed with DS as a potential replacement.

yeah I was pretty disappointed with the demo. I like both styles - action "rpg" a-la diablo style and rpg BG2 stytle as well. I really liked both D2 and BG2 but I'm pretty much bored of both now. I was really looking forward to some fun replacing my D2 with dungeon siege but DS doesn't come anywhere ...

Concerning Dungeon Siege vs. Diablo in terms of combat, I think DS prevails here as well. Whereas in Diablo you have to continuously click, click, click in order to vanquish your enemies, DS takes a better approach in giving the user the opportunity to have the game take care of battling for you ...

my analysis of this game

after being a HUGE Diablo2 LoD fan plus an avid player of the Baldur's Gate series of games, I tried out dungeon siege to see how it would stack up. My final thoughts? Dungeon siege plays like a watered down Diablo2 for combat and skill development and like a watered down Baldur's Gate for RPG ...

I disagree

I disagree because if you install ther solafein romance mod, you'll see that he is also immune to the effects of time stop (even with nothing equipped) so there has to be another explanation.

time stop immunity

Getting kinda bored with legit play and want to make a tweaked party with the main PC having immunity to time stop. Anyone know how to tweak the game to implement this?

counter to unconciousness

is there any spell/item that imparts immunity to unconciousness? Like the unconciousness that happens from a dragon's wing buffet for example.

ok aside from making you feel like a big man, how does you bragging about your system answer my question again? BTW, bragging about your PC is futile, as everyone upgrades so often, your bragging rights only last like about a MONTH.

heeelppp please? sound popping problems

ok, right after I installed nvidia's stupid detonator driver updates for my geforce 2 mx video card, I've been having this REALLY annoying 'popping' on my game sound effects. more than half of the time that the characters are talking, they stutter, pop, and skip words. Do you have any idea at all ...

graphics question

I have my video settings on 2D mainly because my P3 500 with a geforce2 mx 32 mb vid card doesn't seem to be enough to run this game smoothly in 3D. (I'd like to have a little "chat" Korgan-style with the guy who wrote the minimum/recommended sys requirements for this game!) yes I know I'm running a ...

Indeed

I have to admit, my last post was a bit of a probe, and I'm happy to see that the nazi-istic (my own word, sorry) attitude I received from that certain person at that certain un-named website is not present here at gamebanshee's forums.

That wasn't a TDD bash by the way... heh ...

nah it's not a WinME related problem, everyone's having these probs. Anyway I run ME and haven't experienced any more lockups or freezes then the next guy, but bg2 does have quite a few video/graphics related issues that you should look at as a main culprit for game speed. most problems with games ...

Poll: ToB or TDD?

I don't know how to use that poll posting crap so I'm just going to ask:

Under the following criteria of: overall playability, technical stability, entertainment value, compatability, and believability, which would you rate as a better playing experience?

1. SoA with Throne of Bhaal (official ...

underdark or sahuagin?

If I go with capt what's-his-name after leaving the asylum, I end up in the sahuagin city right? But I also want to go to the underdark as well. If I take the ship to the sahuagin city, how and where will I be able to enter the underdark after that?
