@Chim, everything you just wrote tells me that there's no point in talking to you. You don't know anything about feminism (illustrated by your ignorance about Dworkin) which means you know little if anything about genuine humanitarianism, you know nothing about the reality of prostitution as ...

I've heard that a strategy that works is to avoid killing anyone at first. Take all of the five down to "near dead" before you actually kill them. This way, when Melissan shows up, it will be a simple matter to take out her remaining cronies in a couple of rounds and focus on her.
You've damaged your own case"]

This doesn't make any sense so I'm going to have to guess what you were trying to say and thus I may be wrong in my interpretation. From what I see, you're saying that it somehow damages my case that Andrea Dworkin limits her speeches to the positions ...

@Chim. The fact that you actually had to ask says much more than I ever could.

"And how come you decided to focus on the one part of my post you could attack, and ignored the part you could not answer?"

I have answered it, several times, throughout this thread. I don't feel the need to again ...
Ahem.
Cough cough.

See, I can do that to. Do you actually have a point lurking behind that "ahem."

Maybe you're thinking to point out that she doesn't say men can be prostitutes. In this case I have to ask, what do you think you've proven? Is it somehow different for a man ...

@Chim. What group of people would that be? Prostitutes who use their excess cash to donate to charities? The people who sell sex to pay for their children's surgeries? Please.

It can be considered but it's never a basis for a decision. Nothing is decided like that.

My first victory over kangaax involved every buff in the game, lots and lots of lower resistance, an army of summoned critters, reaheheheally big guys with big swords, and many reloads. Now its down to a science.
Assuming that prostitution is degrading to a person who engages in it willingly is a stretch, to say the least. It might be degrading to them in your opinion. If they do not find it degrading to themselves, then it is not.

Snoop seems to take a relativism position, but the question is to what degree. A complete relativism position would claim that for instance the European colonisation of Africa was not wrong, since it was right according to the values of the colonising culture. Likewise, it would ...

Dirty mind. What's a good guy without at least one bad girl in his life? How she'd be dirty is something I'm not inclined to specify, especially in public.

Ha ha!! Jan!? God, I think the only thing I have that's even close to that was when Immy killed Sarevok BG1 in the final battle with a shortbow. The first time I fought Draconis I got lucky. While he was in human form, Sarevok hit him with a smite and knocked him into a space between a pillar and a ...

@Darzog, that's absolutely true but I think that we should try to find a solution to this that doesn't hinge on religion. Otherwise we will inevitably alienate everyone who either has a different religion or no religion.

Well, in America we try to achieve separation of church and state but it rarely works out this way. People are still dictated by their morals which usually come from their religion and Christianity and its morals simply have the majority in America. But I don't think the debate on prostitution is ...

I don't really see any advantages to being a fighter/druid. I'd rather be a straight druid than go multi/class. A shapeshifter would make a better tank too. I just don't think there's any reason to ever play a fighter/druid, even though I do love Jaheira.

Cleric/Ranger doesn't even need a bow to ...
People who outlaw things for moral issues tend to dismiss the morals of other people, superimposing their beliefs on those of others. If your morals tell you something's wrong, just don't engage in it; don't take it upon yourself to force everyone else to fall in line with you ...

 @Luis, nice. That party is no joke. The first time I fought them, I was around level 10 or so. I was a human thief with Minsc, Keldorn, Yoshi, and Arie. I walked into the room and the dwarf gives me some lip. Now at this point I had just killed Torgal so I was thinking "I'll be damned if I'm ...

@Chanak, yeah I didn't mention outright that I thought it should be illegal. I agree, prostitutes are people too. Often they're people that just made some mistakes and were left with no other viable alternative. And I think the problem with saying that its consentual between two adults and should ...
