You would think for some of them (+2 to saves, Magic Resistance, Fire/Acid etc resistance you should just add them in the applicable tab in Shadowkeeper.

I just tried making a new game and importing the pregenerated character "Abdel."

Using the standard items they give you, and employing the "New Improved Ilasera and party" he dies in 3 rounds whether he changes to the slayer or not.

As a new game character he has no party and no way of getting one ...
