How come me(ranger/cleric) and Minsc (also a ranger) can't use our Stealth button????

Does anybody know if it's possible to keep Minsc and Edwin in the SAME team??? Because if Edwin is really all that I should go for him I think but now I am wasting all this experience on Minsc then??? :(

I am multi-class Ranger/cleric but if I use this exp.cap won't it spoil my gamefun?

And should I get rid of Jaheira? She doesn't seem to be a good fighter and her druid spells are so-so...
