I did become a druid in-game. And I've never been able to talk to animals, even ones I should have been able to. I'll try patching the game.

That can't be the case because there is a rat who is supposed to help me open a door but I can't talk to it to ask it to do so.

I have the manual from the original NWN (the big fat one) and I didn't see anything about a level requirement for talking to animals. I thought animal empathy only allowed me to dominate them.

HOTU Help Please

Hiya. I'm a level 20 Cleric/level 3 Druid and I can't talk to animals like I could when I played NWN and SOU as a straight druid. Is there some sort of conflict that would disallow my speaking to animals? Any help would be great, thanks :D
