Yes,Paladins can choose "Summon Deva",only they cast it from their "Special Abilities" menu (i.e. like they cast Detect Evil) Also,you can select it multiple times if you want.

AFAIK,dual & multi classing has drastically changed in 3rd edition (A)D&D,but since I am no expert at it someone else will have to give you the exact details.I do remember reading something like...every race/class can now dual/multi,and you don't lose your previous class attributes while doing so.It ...

I'm not entirely sure but I guess this is what Bioware calls "Party-spilt-up-bug".There is a BETA patch for ToB that supposedly fixes this,and you can download it [url="http://www.bioware.com/bg2tob/bg2tobpatch.shtml"]here[/url] I hope this helps.
