BioWare on George Lucas, Genre Blurring, and More

BioWare's Ray Muzyka has been tapped for a few more Q&As as he travels around on the North American Dragon Age: Origins press tour.

First, Ray chats with G4 about the EA acquisition, their merger with Mythic Entertainment, the Mass Effect sex scandal, George Lucas' involvement with Star Wars: The Old Republic, going up against World of Warcraft, developing for the iPhone, and much more.

Next, we have a few quotes from Ray on Wired.com about the blending of the shooter and RPG genres:
(Genres are almost a vestige of the past,) said Muzyka. (In a way, a lot of the best shooters are RPGs as well, because they allow you to have progression, exploration, combat or conflict, and a story.)

Those key attributes of RPGs, he said, are valuable for (any kind of game.)

As the leader of Electronic Arts' role-playing game division, Muzyka is to RPGs what Bleszinski and his company are to shooters. It's telling that leaders in the creation of these two seemingly disparate types of games are reaching the same conclusion.
And then we move to VideoGamer.com for Greg's response to the possibility of frontal nudity in Dragon Age:
When asked by VideoGamer.com whether Dragon Age: Origins will contain full frontal nudity, BioWare vice president Greg Zeschuk replied: (I don't think we've worked that out yet, because we can adjust that whenever we want, right? On Mass Effect we worked extensively to figure out, how do we want to portray it? It's not ogling pixels [laughs] sad but probably titillating, too. I think for us it's more just making sure it fits the context of what we're trying to create.)
