Mass Effect Galaxy Reviews

Since the iPhone offering has a distinct connection to the Mass Effect trilogy, I thought I'd round up some fresh reviews for Mass Effect Galaxy.

The first is at PocketGamer with a score of 5/10:
Like a black hole, inferior tilt-based action and forfeiture of the series' role-playing legacy devour expectations of a worthy extension to this lauded galactic epic.

The second is at EndSights with a score of 7/10:
The game will last a few hours and will cost $4.99. The technical issues are really all that's wrong with it. The horrible frame rate can add unintentional difficulty to what could have been a really enjoyable combat system. The story and dialog kept me playing until the end and I ultimately enjoyed it. If don't mind an inconsistent frame rate in your battles and you want a little more Mass Effect to hold you over until the sequel comes out, then this is the game for you.

And the third is at The Portable Gamer with no score:
EA was also nice enough to throw in a trailer to Mass Effect 2 in the Extras section, which does nothing more than pump you up and make you want to run through ME Galaxy again. As I said, the game is short, but you do have the option to explore planets more than once, which can make your experience last slightly longer than others. The only reason I can see to play through this more than once is to try out new dialogue branches, or to soak in the story one last time. Mind you, the two main characters from ME Galaxy will be in ME 2. More than enough reason to run through this again, closer to the launch of ME 2.
