Mass Effect Galaxy E3 Previews

I'm not sure if BioWare's Mass Effect Galaxy fits our RPG focus too well, but let's round up a couple of E3 previews anyway.

Slide To Play kicks us off:
The star of Mass Effect Galaxy is Jacob Taylor, one mean hombre who's equipped with powerful psionic abilities (known as "Biotics" in the ME universe) and all kinds of guns too.

Mass Effect is known for two things: real-time gunplay and lengthy conversations. Mass Effect Galaxy has a little bit of both. Combat is simple. You tilt the phone around to run around the level, while your gun auto-targets the nearest enemy. Biotic powers are accessed via touch buttons.

And then we head over to AppGamer:
Between the tilty shooty sections and the beautiful animated cut scenes are the dialog trees where gamers influence the narrative by selecting from various conversational threads. Executive Producer Kevin Barrett has said in an interview that the structure of the game will adhere to a strict beginning, middle and an end design with the middle section offering three different branches. Presumably this will bestow some replay value into what is currently being billed by EA as a 2 hour experience from start to finish.
