Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Reviews

The reviews of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel continue to trickle onto the Internet, with five more popping up over the last day or two.

The first is at TeamXbox with a score of 7.2/10:
did have a lot of enjoyable adventures in Sacred 2, and I hope to be able to keep playing it through some of the other characters though I'm sure I won't get anywhere near to completing it. At the same time, there's also concern that the many hours I put in (though only on one character class, which is over Level 22) could be lost to a save-game glitch. Add to that the wash-rinse-repeat feeling I had frequently, and I come to the conclusion that Sacred 2 is far from what it could have been. Perhaps you'll be one of those who raves about how much you enjoy it and you can shrug off its glitches to that end. I think there was the potential for greatness, and clearly a lot of time was poured into making it what it is, but the end product is ultimately diminished by its shortcomings.

The second is at DailyGame with a score of 7.8/10:
Random asshat aside -- whom you'll find on just about any game -- Sacred 2: Fallen Angel should be added to the backlog of anyone who loves a good loot-collection game, particularly one like this that doesn't impose a short timeline or ridiculously low level cap.

The third is at Gaming Nexus with a score of "B+":
With its amazing graphics, worthwhile online gameplay, enormous world and creatively implemented control scheme, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is a real winner. In fact, the only things keeping this game from being a near perfect entry in the genre are the terrible technical issues, the lack of a pause button and a generic storyline. If you can get past those few small problems, then you and your friends are going to find a lot to like in Sacred 2. It may not have the impact of Diablo II, but Fallen Angel is a real gem worth tracking down. I love this game ... and will love it even more when somebody makes a match that fixes the technical problems and adds a pause button.

The fourth is at Spawn Kill with a score of 7.5/10:
Once you take the time to learn the ropes, Sacred 2 promises to lead you on a journey that captivates the inner greed in all of us with its stimulating looting system. With a plethora of enemies to slay at the mighty request of many a friend in need, there is tons of gameplay in store for any level player to dive into. You've got your magic, you've got your katanas, and even a few guns, but best of all you finally have a solid hack and slash RPG experience on your console.

And the fifth is at TripleChat with a score of "Wait For Clearance Sale":
The question here is , is it economically viable to shell out $60 for this game, even if you are a fan of this type of gameplay. I got to say no. So far this generation there are only a select few games that were worth the full price of admission - and to do that they must supply the content in the masses, have a great deal of replay value and overall feel as if it was a game that is worth a premium price. Sacred 2 gives me no sensation out of any of those types of things. I want to say it's a title to buy when it gets cheaper, but Diablo clones come out in far too big of numbers these days and overall Sacred 2 does little to separate itself from the rest of the pack...
