Fallout 3 The Pitt DLC Reviews

The new week kicks off with three more slightly favorable reviews of Bethesda's The Pitt DLC for Fallout 3.

The first is at AtomicGamer with a score of 81%:
So while there are some technical hurdles you may have to hop over (and that Bethesda needs to work on if they're going to ask people to continue to buy this content on the PC), none of it diminishes how much fun The Pitt is. I think maybe adding an hour of solid gameplay on top of what we got might have been nice along with some more ground-breaking loot and perks - something that the next DLC seems likely to address - but for what we're getting right now, I like it. If you really enjoyed Fallout 3 and are ready to take your adventures beyond the Capital Wasteland, then The Pitt is a great place to start.

The second is at Gaming Front with a score of 75/100:
Overall, The Pitt isn't much in the ways of DLC. It's horrendously short if you don't count hunting for ingots and trekking all over the practically useless city, and all you wind up coming away with is a couple of weapons, marginally useful perks, and an ammo press that makes ammo out of scrap metal, but is buried too deep in the massive city to be worth coming back to. While the environments remain fantastically atmospheric, the dialogue fails to impress at most times. You won't be coming back here for more, but it's a good bit of fun while it lasts.

And the third is at DigitalBattle with no score:
The Pitt is merely PART of Fallout 3. It isn't a new game.it's just a piece. And as a piece, it adds a definite flavor to Fallout 3 that's plenty enjoyable. And maybe if you play The Pitt first, you'll have a lot more to use those fantastic new weapons on. But either way, The Pitt will provide plenty of extra fun to your copy of Fallout 3 for just a few dollars more.
