The Last Remnant Activation Issues

Both Kotaku and Eurogamer are reporting about a pretty large issue with the launch of Square Enix's The Last Remnant. With Square Enix joining Steam, the game needs to be activated via Valve's service. Which is fine, except that Steam lists the release date as April 9, so...

Any attempt to do so, however, is met by the following message: "The Last Remnant has not been officially released, and cannot be unlocked at this time. Please check Steam news to find out the release time. Steam will notify you when the game becomes unlocked."

As of this post The Last Remnant is still set to unlock "in approximately 2 weeks, 5 days and 7 hours", no word from Valve on resolving the issue, yet.

ADDENDUM: and just like that, it's fixed, Kotaku reports.

Square Enix's Sonia Im says "Unfortunately there was a technical glitch that lasted a few hours but any issues were resolved early this morning." So there you go, Europe! Waiting a few hours beats waiting until April 9, huh?
