Master Creating Interview

Foreign website GBASE has conducted an interview with Master Creating creative director Jan Beuck about the development of Legend: Hand of God, their as-of-yet unannounced MMORPG, and more.
Looking back on the development of the main LEGEND game, are there certain features that you would have liked to include but could not?

There are always features like that that do not make it. Much like movies or songs, videogames are never really finished and always a bit different from the original vision. It is just too complex. The story of LEGEND, for example, has originally been much more complex, but we did not have enough funds for big cities and castles. Because of this, we had to make concessions in regards to the story. Technically, however, we were able to include everything we wanted to, and this is something I still am particularly proud of, especially so since LEGEND was our first wholly three-dimensional game. Looking back, though, we realized the system requirements for players were a bit too steep. To remedy this, we will emphasize lower requirements for future games. Apart from that, a dynamic night-and-day cycle is on my personal wishlist for our next game.
