IGN's E3 PC Wrap Up

The PC editorial team at IGN has published an overview of the computer games that were on display at this year's E3. A few comments from Steve Butts:
Yeah, definitely redundant but it was still nice to see Fallout 3, Spore and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning again. They're all old friends that we've seen again and again but, like old friends, we're always happy to see how they're doing. In all three cases, the games are largely complete and should enjoy a successful release sometime in the next few months. So what if you saw them already? I know I wanted to see them again.

And even with all the "been there, done that" moments, there were a couple of new arrivals here at the show and I was particularly pleased with a few of them. Creative Assembly's Empire: Total War was the one new title I was most looking forward to and the boys from Britain certainly didn't disappoint. The game's new naval battles are simply spectacular and the new 18th century setting is a perfect fit for the overall design. I was also really excited about Firaxis' new Colonization. And the rough first look we got at BioWare's Dragon Age: Origins. Sure, it's not like some of the big announcements we've had in years past, but it's still worth the price of admission as far as I'm concerned.
