Avernum 5 Wrap Report

RPGVault has done a wrap report with Jeff Vogel for the recently PC-released indie RPG Avernum 5.
High-Level Goals
My main goal for Avernum 5 was to create a fascinating journey. Avernum is a bizarre and fascinating place. Much of the game is simply traveling through it, having many strange and exciting adventures. There is a lot of variety in the areas you travel through. Some are settled. Some are near barbarism. Some are ruled by eccentric wizards of strange religious cults. Whenever the player starts to get used to things, I change them around.

As for art direction, I did what I could. We're a small company, and we don't have a lot of money to work with. However, we were able to add a lot of pleasing lighting and graphical effects. We really try to introduce as many nice new effects as we can in each game.
