Puzzle Quest: Galactrix Previews

GamersInfo and Gaming Age have both dished up short previews of Infinite Interactive's Puzzle Quest: Galactrix. A snip from GamersInfo's article:
With multiple planets to visit while solving this mystery, you'll have diplomacy and commodities to work with - something new from the original. Factions are going to come into play. I'm hoping there's a green alien group - I like angering green aliens (it's a childhood issue, don't ask). You'll also need to build and outfit your ship before exploring. Having the right ship in the right situation will be critical.

Matching gems in the previous title increased your mana, gold, experience or caused damage. There were four colored gems (mana) and one for each of the additional properties. The same basic principle applies here with a few more elements to make it interesting.

And one of two paragraphs in Gaming Age's tiny article:
In Puzzle Quest: Galactrix a horrifying scientific accident has provoked another race to attempt extermination of humankind; players will create a persistent pilot who gains skills, crafts items, maneuvers among the universe's political factions, and upgrades the ultimate space fleet as they attempt to end the genocide. An innovative hexagonal puzzle board allows for a wide range of strategic depth as it heeds to gravity according to a player's location in the game universe. A rich and detailed storyline and fresh gameplay elements make the world of Puzzle Quest: Galactrix a captivating new adventure to explore and conquer.
