King's Bounty: The Legend Interview

Gry.o2.pl has posted an informative interview with Katari Interactive's Dmitri Gusarov about their remake of New World Computing's RPG/strategy classic, King's Bounty: The Legend.
Q: Tell us more what is all about adventure and battle mode.

A: In an adventure mode the player has to explore the amazing world of Endoria: to wander about the snow-covered hills of the Dwarfs, to gaze at the beautiful lakes of the Elves, to get lost in the labyrinths in mines, to investigate the dungeons and there is much more things to do! You will communicate with NPCs, receive quests and open plenty of aspects of life in Endoria. The player can buy units, spells and items. You will find a great number of items on the map, such as altars, chests, buildings and resources. You can even seek for treasures or even get married.

Battle mode is performed with the turn-based combats on arenas. The player has enough time to think of the strategy of the fight and to make a turn. There are plenty of arenas and units, so you won't be able to use one specific tactic all the time. Some units will fight better, some will not. It all depends on the time of the day, current location and the members of your army. In the battle mode you will also be able to summon the Rage Spirits and to cast the spells from the Book of Magic.
