RPG Vault has conjured up a four-page Q&A with NCsoft's Victor Meinert and John Mueller about the artwork and visual style they used for Tabula Rasa.
How did you arrive at the current overall look of the game? At a conceptual level, what major influences does it embody?

John Mueller: The current look is inspired by films like Aliens and Starship Troopers. It's the kind of story you might find in 2000AD. I love European comics too - they take science fiction very seriously - stepping off an Allied Free Sentients drop ship on a mysterious alien planet with the most advanced weaponry known to man... its Bane-killin' time!

We wanted to build a world that hadn't really been experienced in MMOs. We have a great stage set for launch, not only for what players will get out of the box with Tabula Rasa, but also expansions are just going to be awesome. The team is really focused on where we're going with it.
