BioShock Impressions

Both Just RPG and GamesFirst! have whipped up some initial impressions of the Xbox 360 version of 2K Games' BioShock. A snip from the article at Just RPG:
The best thing about BioShock is how it melds together fast-paced, first-person shooter style gameplay with the depth and customization of an RPG. You can upgrade your weapons, hack into security robots, modify your body with plasmids, and craft new ammo. Perhaps coolest of all, you'll be able to make major decisions that can influence the course of the game. Do you exploit the innocent survivors of Rapture to save yourself.or risk it all to become their savior? You'll be faced with a wide variety of both tactical and moral challenges, and 2K promises that no two gamers will ever play BioShock in quite the same way.

And a snip from the article at GamesFirst!:
Hacking security bots is decidedly easy, and I'm not yet sure of the trade-off of doing so. The time limit (before the tube of liquid spills) will likely get faster and more difficult to finish in time, and the security will likely get tougher and tougher as the game progresses, but in this interim it feels a little simplistic. We'll see if the difficulty keeps it from becoming overpowered.
