Understanding the Innovation in BioShock

NewsPail has tossed up a new article called "Understanding the Innovation in BioShock", in which they discuss the A.I. and environmental design that Irrational has created for the game.
One more little point, BioShock is also using 2D art and textures to tell a huge part of their story, what is referred to as "Mise en Scene". This is also just a matter of degree, but I think that one of the areas for which BioShock will receive numerous accolades, is for their use of the environment to convey the story. Basically, until this generation of graphics, it simply wasn't possible to include that kind of story-telling detail in the environment itself.
