UGO's Best of E3 2007 Awards

Our friends at UGO are next in line with their "Best of E3 2007" awards, where they've given props to both Mass Effect (Best RPG) and Fallout 3 (Best of the Best).
This was a very tough decision between Mass Effect and Fallout 3, but in terms of graphics, gameplay potential and instant awe-factor, Fallout 3 won out. Sure, it's more than a year from release, but it sure as hell doesn't look like it.

So what made Fallout 3 so damn good? It was really a collaboration of things. Think about the massive scale of Oblivion. Now add the grit and dark comedy of the Fallout franchise. Now add a gun that shoots mini nuclear bombs at super mutants. In the end, it just wasn't a contest. There was no game at this year's E3 that we were more eager to play, which makes the wait until Fall 2008 all the more frustrating. Lucky for you it looks like Bethesda won't be releasing any more video on the game anytime soon, which means your mind won't be haunted by the awesome visages seen in the nigh-abandoned DC subway system. Trust us, knowledge is a curse.

Like it or not, the amount of hype generated already pretty much ensures that Bethesda's iteration of F3 will sell like hotcakes.
