Legend: Hand of God Interview

GBase.ch has conducted an interview with Master Creating creative director Jan Beuck about their upcoming fantasy action RPG, Legend: Hand of God. A question about why they decided to shift gears from Restricted Area:
Q: Why did you decide to change the setting from sinister science fiction to a colourful fantasy world?

A: We love the surroundings and the world of Restricted Area, but we didn't want to immediately squeeze out a sequel. Fantasy worlds have an immense draw - we wanted to create something unique in this setting, something that sets it apart from the rest. A real challenge.

At its heart, the world of Legend follows the classic role-playing formula. Our hero, a young adept, is about to join the Oder of the Keepers of the Holy Flame. The Order guards a demonic portal and the Holy Flame which keeps the gate sealed. Once, the world was plagued by invasions of demons from said portal which drove the world to the brink of ruin. Only when they joined forces, the people of the world could avoid total extinction.

But now the portal is leaking demons again which are ravaging the country. You take the role of the sole survivor of the Order. You have to find out what has happened. The country is in grave danger, and only with the held of the Hand of God, a powerful amulet, do you have a chance of swaying fate. Together with an uppity lightelf as a companion, you're on your way to find the artefact and seal the portal forever.
