Developers at GDC, Parts 1 and 2

RPG Vault has posted two separate "Developers at GDC" features (Part One and Part Two), in which various RPG and MMORPG developers reveal their plans for this year's Game Developers Conference. Atari's Vice President of Business Development, Robert Stevenson:
I am attending GDC now for the 13th year (ouch... now that just makes me sound old!) to meet with developers and companies looking to partner or publish with Atari. Great titles like Silverfall and The Witcher come about because of a lot of discussions, planning and negotiations that take place at venues like GDC. I am also giving a panel talk targeted at developers, entitled Getting through Greenlight. We have assembled a top panel of people from companies like Activision, Microsoft, Capcom and Atari - so come see our little gig on Thursday morning, room 36!

On the more personal side, I really dig seeing indie developers showcasing their work throughout GDC. Their enthusiasm and many of their games are just great, and always seem to remind me of the passion at the core of what we do day to day. Of course, I am also looking forward to seeing and socializing with old industry friends (and making new ones) at the show and during the lively evening events.
