The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Interview

FiringSquad had the opportunity to sit down with Bethesda Softworks' Pete Hines for a short Q&A about the upcoming Playstation 3 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Q: How hard was it to port the game over to the PS3, especially with the console's very different hardware specs?

A: Any time you're working with new hardware, it's always going to be a challenge. How a particular console handles different types of memory, the number (as size) of the available threads, and so on. So it hasn't been easy by any stretch, but at least all of the game systems and content are stable and known quantities. It's just that much harder when you're trying to get the game to work on the hardware and changing lots of things in the game at the same time.
