To give you an "in a nutshell" experience of the game, here's the focus: You spend a lot of time learning your skills, configuring them, and finding materials for crafting new items. You may find Monestary Credits or other tokens that can be immediately exchanged for better weapons, armor, or other goodies too. In the endgame, however, your true goal is to make a powerful character and join an alliance, getting to the rich "factions" concept of this game.
This no doubt takes a while to get into and, like any quality MMORPG, you have to expect to spend many weeks to even a month of your time learning the basics, familiarizing yourself with the locale, and getting used to game concepts. Let's face it, gaming just isn't what it used to be... in the days of old we just picked up a controller and played. Now, finer nuances such as tactics and team interaction are crucial to the gaming experience.
