Windows Vista Game Compatibility Progress Report

The folks at GameSpot took the time to test a whole assortment of games on Microsoft's upcoming Windows Vista operating system, but unfortunately a few popular RPGs weren't able to run properly. Keep in mind that they're testing these games on the Beta 2 version of the operating system, so things could change by the end of the year when the final version hits stores. Here's a quick rundown:
  • Baldur's Gate II: Failed

  • Deus Ex: Passed

  • Diablo II: Passed

  • Fallout 2: Passed

  • Guild Wars: Passed

  • Star Wars: KotOR: Failed

  • Neverwinter Nights: Failed

  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: Passed

  • World of Warcraft: Passed

The most disturbing thing about this report is that it claims that none of BioWare's most recent games work on Vista. Let's hope that if Microsoft doesn't resolve the issue that BioWare takes the time to release patches for them.
