Guild Wars Factions Reviews

Both Jolt Online Gaming and Computer Games Romania have conjured up new reviews for ArenaNet's Guild Wars Factions. The review at Jolt Online Gaming gives the game an overall score of 8.7/10:
If you've so far avoided buying into Guild Wars, but are still intrigued, then this is as good a time as any to jump on the band wagon. It's not as heavy on the role-playing as a subscription MMO, and it's not usually as instantly gratifying as an online shooter, but it strikes a great balance for the casual MMO fan and the achievement-oriented action fan alike. Guild Wars is almost unique in this way, and shows no sign of losing popularity. As for which version to buy, it is largely a matter of preference as to whether you favour the mythical far-east or classical fantasy themes.

While the review at Computer Games Romania gives the game an overall score of 88/100:
For a newcomer to Guild Wars, Factions can be a more tempting offer than Prophecies, especially thanks to the two additional classes. For veteran players, Factions offers little in terms of PvE but more than makes up for it in PvP, especially if you're a member of an experienced guild. Considering that Factions sold a million copies in one month, compared to the six months it took for Prophecies, we can safely say that ArenaNet's (no monthly fee) strategy is a huge success. So don't be surprised if in the next few years the online games will change drastically regarding the quality / price ratio.
