I tend to get impatient, so to ensure that I stay put while those brutes get far away from me I open up my bag to find something to occupy my time. Hmmmm... what's this? I don't remember how this got in there. Oh right, I grabbed this from that smelly Dwarf in the tavern. I unwrap the cloth that covers the odd shaped item. I scream out, unable to hide my fright. I reveal a mask made completely of bones. What an ugly mask, who in their right mind would wear such a thing? Off in the distance, I hear the sound of voices and footsteps coming closer. I act instinctively, and put the mask on realizing that I must not be in my right mind. The group comprised of a greedy Elf, a smelly Dwarf, and a cloak-less Human stop dead in their tracks when we come face to face. They seem captivated by me. Normally, I would think it would be my good looks, but I know that can't be the case with this mask on. In my panicked state, I am able to shout out the words "just go away." All of a sudden, the three just up and run away. They knew better than to mess with this Halfling!
This horrid mask is fashioned from the skull fragments of various races. Red silk cords hold this gruesome artifact together. The mask's horrible visage is oddly fascinating and seems to compel obedience.
