MMORPG.com has published the sixth installment to their ongoing bi-weekly Q&A with EverQuest lead designer Travis McGeathy. An excerpt to follow:
Q: Why have there not been any underwater zones like Kedge Keep? That was a challenging zone to learn to move and fight in, but one that many old-time players often cite as a favorite zone.

A: In general, players don't like fighting underwater. It's very difficult to fight in, particularly as a caster, and we always find that underwater zones have really low usage. Depths of Darkhollow did include some underwater fighting areas, though, particularly in zones like Illsalin.
