Turbine Interview

OGaming has published a three-page interview with Turbine's Jeff Anderson, quizzing the CEO about their two highly anticipated titles, Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach and The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. Here's a bit to start you off:
Q: Why is it better for these licenses to be in the hands of an independent studio such as yourselves than a corporate giant like NCSoft, Webzen or Sony Online Entertainment?

A: Turbine is a growing company with really two main games. This gives us a degree of focus that other publishers can't compete with. Our product development, marketing and technology teams live, eat and breathe Dungeons & Dragons Online and Lord of the Rings Online. We're incredibly focused and driven when it comes to launching the best games we can. There are so many copies of the Player's Handbook or Tolkien novels and paraphernalia around the office that it looks like a fan convention. And that is exactly how it should be. Besides, it's more fun being an independent studio!
