We got a good crack at the multiplayer combat with some pre-cooked, high-level characters and took to adventuring in some of the game's lushly presented levels. In one, we explored a blatantly named Haunted Library underground; our tougher guys hacking through spiders that ranged up to three times character-size, and our magic-users sending in the occasional ice burst or fireball. One really spectacular, impressive (and annoying) spell would act as a sort of magical flash-bang, blinding any player in its blast-radius with a bright, glittering haze of magical motes.
