Star Wars: KotOR II Review

Journalist Richard Cobbett has written up a detailed review of Obsidian's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II on his personal website, though it sounds like he was pretty disappointed with the way the game was rushed. His conclusion:
Corridors are the absolute bane of KOTOR2, with the final level in particular an absolute masterpiece in how to sap the player's interest to the extent that they start naming their savegames '˜Let It End Already!' and '˜DIE! DIE! DIE!'. From an awful layout to constantly re-running the same ground for absolutely no reason, hideous textures, plot threads that turn up for literally no reason and modelling that looks like a mod project, the only way out is to plead mercy.

So, here we go. Please, please, if you're the corridor fetishist at Obsidian, please move away from your desk right now, splat your boss with a custard pie, accidentally leak the Neverwinter Nights source code - anything, just so long as you're out of the building before you have a chance to stuff anything else up! Take the guy who insisted this game be rushed out so early with you. The pair of you took a radioactive leak over a classic game, and really, you must be killed. If hate leads to the Dark Side, your mere presence makes any good guy endings immediately worthless - so please, throw yourself down a reactor shaft. It may or may not lead to redemption, but at least it'll give the rest of us a laugh.
