Dragonshard Peek #3

RPG Vault has published their third Dragonshard "peek" feature, this time with Liquid Entertainment's Ed Del Castillo discussing city building and dungeons. An excerpt to follow:
On the RTS side, the sunken city adds a completely new dimension to the play. Gold, one of the main resources is mostly found down there, which means that getting your adventure party together is imperative if you are to get the jump on the enemy. Magical items, both permanent and one-use, are only found down there, and can make the difference between winning and losing a fight. Special altars, statues and fountains can also be found in the depths; they will boost your whole army if you claim them. There are many entrances to the sunken city, so the smart player will use these to his advantage, getting the jump on the enemy player or using them to run from flying units. Since no one can be in two places at once, knowing where the enemy is and being somewhere else can be a real advantage. I've only scratched the surface of the implications that the underground has to RTS tactics.
