Jade Empire Reviews

Yet another trio of Jade Empire reviews have surfaced on the 'net, all of which give the Xbox RPG a positive score. The first is at VideoGamesLife with an overall score of 5/5:
With a subtle, yet engrossing mix of comedy, intrigue, conspiracy, betrayal, mythology, magic, sadness, rage, joy and excitement wrapped up in a wonderfully charming oriental package, there are considerably worse ways of investing the 20-25 hours it'll take you to play through first time around (let alone when you go back to play it through a second time to do all the side quests). A five star performer? You'd better believe it.

The second is at NTSC-uk with an overall score of 8/10:
What will sell Jade Empire (and something it has in spades) is Oriental charm; from the story to the environment, the fighting to the character interaction, it's all very enjoyable and immersive; which is exactly how an RPG should be. Whilst the story might be full of clichés and a touch on the short side, it gels together properly, making sure that all the loose ends are tied up nicely, whichever of the multiple endings is eventually reached. If it was BioWare's aim to leave the player with the impression that they really do know Kung Fu, they've succeeded admirably.

And the third is at WCFCourier with no overall score:
Whether you like games for storyline or action, ''Jade Empire'' offers something for everybody, and it does it well. Any RPG fan would be missing out by passing on this one.
