Guild Wars Reviews

Two more very positive reviews have reached the web for ArenaNet's newly launched MMORPG, Guild Wars. The first is at GameSpy with an overall score of 4.5/5:
Guild Wars is an experience unlike anything else on the market today. It's like a team deathmatch game, except with RPG-like combat, leveling and persistent characters. Players can really customize their characters, and it's truly skill and teamwork (not just how much time you've invested to level up and get the best gear) that determines the winners. Cooperatively or competitively, the game excels. Some frustrating controls and the complexity of the game system might limit its appeal, however. Still, if you're looking for a completely different online roleplay experience, this is the place to look.

And the second is at Gamers Depot with an overall score of 9/10:
There's little doubt that you'll enjoy this game even with its current flaws because the graphics, sound, playability and diverse atmosphere make it one of the more compelling RPGs we've played to date. It does a decent job of being a lot of things to many and does so with ample amounts of grace.
