UGO's E3 2005 Game Guide

UGO has released a game guide to this year's E3 convention, in which they provide some preliminary information about Dungeons & Dragons Online, Dragon Age, and X-Men Legends 2. A snip about D&D Online:
Due out in the second half of 2005, Dungeons & Dragons Online is a MMORPG that's set on the continent of Xen'drik in the world of Eberron. It will feature the usual hack and slash gameplay that most RPGs are known for, but in an interesting twist, players won't gain levels simply by killing monsters. Instead, players will be rewarded with experience by completing entire quests. The developers have opted for this approach so that players can come up with multiple ways of completing goals instead of the universal "whack-a-mole" approach whereby the only way to advance is to kill something via sword, club, or spell. Players in Dungeons & Dragons Online can use stealth, subterfuge or even a silver-tongued rogue to charm their way out of lethal situations. Six character races will be available when the game launches: humans, elves, dwarves, halflings and warforged. Classes include barbarian, bard, cleric, fighter, paladin, rogue, sorcerer and wizard.
