Ultimately Jade Empire is a beautiful, resounding triumph, much like the strong, highly polished gemstone the game takes its name from. It's addictive and highly rewarding in a way even the most potent of drugs are yet to replicate [A conclusion based on hearsay, I'm sure Ed.]. Those with short attention spans will shun it for being too '˜talky' and those without lives will condemn it as being too similar to KOTOR in its design, but everyone else will be able to find here an RPG of unbridled quality. It's not perfect, but it's the closest thing to it on the Xbox.
And the mediocre review is at Team Fremont with an overall score of 7.5/10:
The first half of the game is great even with it's niggles, but the second half will ruin it all. There is no satisfaction upon finishing the game at all. If you are after a very cut down version of KOTOR this is for you, if you are after an epic RPG then stay away.
