Tactica takes place during the glory years of the Renaissance between 1400-1500 A.D. During this period the famous artist/inventor Leonardo da Vinci is toiling away on his many art projects as well as special designs for the government, in particular tanks and other devices of war. Also going on is a battle between science and magic in which one is trying to prove that the others' beliefs are erroneous, and also in the mix is the Inquisition who just happens to have a very nasty habit of burning heretics for saying ridiculous things such as the Earth isn't the center of the universe. This is where you come in. Playing on either the scientific or magical side, you, along with a party of six, can explore this world and enjoy the game's deep and involving story, all the while accepting missions (that average 30 minutes in length) from NPCs as well as battling opponents from all over the world in a little PvP.
