The Bard's Tale Reviews

inXile Entertainment's The Bard's Tale is once again the subject of a few fairly positive reviews. The first is at VGF with an overall score of 8.3/10:
If you picked up The Bard's Tale to be wowed by gameplay, you grabbed the wrong game. Return it for something flashy and leave this one for people who can appreciate the value of humor and personality. My recommendation? Pick this one up once it hits the bargain bins and you won't regret it.

The second is at GameBiz with an overall score of 80%:
The aid ale is as fresh and innovative as it was back in 1985 when Interplay released it. The Bard's Tale is an entertaining game with an exceptional well written if not slightly mocking dialogue and storyline.

And the third is at Four Fat Chicks with one "Thumb Up":
There is fairly good variety and creativity in the level design, although not so much variety within each level; voice acting is, on the whole, very good; and the nearly nonexistent plot, and a trite one at that, as revealed almost entirely via occasional cutscenes, is more than made up for by the plentiful snappy dialogues and my cute little doggie, the only canine ever to win my dog-hardened heart.
