SpellForce: Shadow of the Phoenix Reviews

JoWood and Phenomic's SpellForce: Shadow of the Phoenix expansion pack is the subject of two new reviews. The first is at AceGamez with an overall score of 8/10:
As with the majority of expansions, Spellforce: Shadow of the Phoenix doesn't do anything new but it does provide enough to satisfy those looking for something more from the Spellforce universe. It's not quite a sequel and doesn't add anything particularly revolutionary, but it does provide a few more hours of enjoyable entertainment and will certainly keep fans busy until that elusive announcement for Spellforce 2 reaches our eager ears.

And the second is at Jolt Online Gaming with an overall score of 6.9/10:
We quite like SpellForce and, as Shadow of the Phoenix is ostensibly more of the same, we do quite like its second expansion pack. However, we're disappointed to find that virtually none of the criticisms of the original have really been addressed. So, although it's easy to recommend Phoenix if you've played through The Order of Dawn and enjoyed it, if you're new to SpellForce, you really ought to pick up the original at a budget price and play it first.
