EverQuest II Reviews

And so we begin to see the first few online reviews for Sony's much anticipated EverQuest II. The first is over at GamersMark with an overall score of 8.8/10:
If you're an MMO fanatic looking for a game to get heavily addicted to, then you should do yourself a favor and try EverQuest 2. Or, if you're a gamer who wants to try out those funky MMOs that you hear so much about, you should still try EverQuest 2. It's one of those games you just don't want to put down, no matter how many hours you've played it. It's like a drug, but a good drug, one that you only pay once a month for, so it's a win-win for everyone!

The second is at Game Industry News with an overall score of 4.5/5:
All in all I was very much impressed with this game. While different from the original EverQuest, it maintains enough similarity to be familiar yet, is new enough to be totally different from your experiences in the original EverQuest. I gave it a rating of 4.5 instead of a perfect 5 as I view a rating of 5 as '˜best in class' and there are currently two other games that I fell are just as much fun as EverQuest 2 and I will be playing all three a lot.

And the third is at 8Dimensional with no overall score:
EverQuest II impresses most through great looking graphics for a MMORPG. It has also a lot of content in the form of hundredths of quest, large areas to explore, and a wide variety of ways supports ingame communities. While not all attempts to be innovative succeed, the game will provide those who have enough time with months of entertainment and addiction. Negative points are the limit of 4 characters per account, offline inspecting characters for a fee, a limit to the number of open quests, long waiting times during area changes, enforced group playing at times and a still high number of bugs. But while already as good as many competing products, Everquest II has so short after launch also still a lot of potential to improve.
