I've currently completed the first set of Alliance missions, and am now required to acquire enough experience to level into the second tier of skills before starting on the next set. After doing this, I'll apparently have to pony up for a new ship, which is fine with me -- my busted old Z-95 is starting to show its age. See, the second tier missions go down on a whole other system, and since my Z-95 isn't strapped with a hyperdrive, it's completely unable to get me there. The solution? A player-made vessel, which, from what I gather, is way beyond my means. Granted, I'm going to have to do a bit of leveling before I'm able to start the next set of missions, so hopefully I'll amass enough wealth in the process.
