As some of you may know, Everquest 2 takes place 500 years after the events of the original game where the land of Norrath has undergone some large changes. When you first start the game, you have to select what race you wish to be in the game and there are a total of 16 races to choose from, most of which come from the original game, from humans to evils to trolls and others (the one new race is the evil aligned ratonga). One of the more unique aspects of Everquest 2 is that when you choose your playable race you can also choose in some case on whether or not your character is good or evil (some races are automatically one or the other). Once the selection of the race is picked the character customization features really begin and Sony Online has give the player a way to really make your character your own, with lots of different options for hair, eyes, skin (including tattoos) body, clothing and more.
