Shadowbane: Throne of Oblivion Interview

HomeLan Fed was able to track down Throne of Oblivion producer Frank Lucero for a quick interview about the upcoming Shadowbane expansion. Here's a little something to get you started:
Q: What other new skills and professions will be added to Throne of Oblivion?

A: Aside from the new race, we are also adding two new classes and eight new disciplines (Disciplines in Shadowbane are basically subclasses that a player can choose in order to enhance his primary class).

One of the new classes is the Necromancer, a pet class. His primary distinction from existing pet classes is that he summons small swarms of pets instead of only managing one of a time, but he trades off that power with a relative loss of control of those pets. The second new class is the Nightstalker, a rogue class that specializes in tactics designed to battle vampires and the undead. They specialize in fast attacks, as that allows them to easily bypass the Vampire's fortitude powers.

Four of the 8 new disciplines are Vampire Bloodline disciplines, which allow Vampires to further define and enhance their characters with vampiric powers. Some examples of these powers include drains, flight and advanced fortitude powers.

The other four disciplines are Siege disciplines, designed to shake up the siege experience a little bit. These siege disciplines can be difficult to use, but can really alter the shape of a city siege. For example, one of these disciplines, the Sapper, can get another one of these disciplines, the Saboteur, behind city walls. Once inside, the Saboteur can use special powers to throw a monkey wrench in the city's defenses.
