Lineage II Review

The Wargammer has written up a fairly negative review of Lineage II, and although they don't give a final score, you can easily see their overall opinion of the game in this conclusion:
Perhaps unfortunately for Lineage II, or fortunately for many players, Lineage II was released the same day as City of Heroes, which is a very similar and excellent MMORPG also published by NCSoft. Both games sold very well when released, and both appear to be doing very well even now. Despite some negative aspects, I am still enjoying Lineage II. I plan on playing for at least a couple more months. I do want to see the sieges, even if it takes more interminable hacking and farming to get there. The world itself isn't all that intriguing, the quests are shoddy, and the game play rustic, but the benefit of MMORPGs is that new content is constantly being added, and so it is possible that these elements will improve with time. In any case, the draw of new classes and future chances at siege participation have kept me going long enough to taste the low level rewards of every character race. I've finally decided that a Human Fighter is the class I most want to develop. One day I will become a Paladin, save souls and storm the walls of enemy castles! First, though, I must swing my thin blade ten thousand more times, repeat my same quests, and pray not to be killed by the level 45 Orc who is surely lurking in the forest behind me, laughing at visions of my death, my irritation and my hefty loss of experience.

Oh well, back to the grind.
