eToyChest's Top 10 RPGs of All Time

eToyChest has once again resurfaced their "Top 10 RPGs of All Time" feature, with Planescape: Torment, Fallout, Pool of Radiance, and The Bard's Tale all making the list. Their #1 spot goes to Wizardry VII: Crusaders of the Dark Savant, though. Check it out:
This is something that is genuinly unique about Crusaders of the Dark Savant. The player will control their party, and explore the world, but all the while there are computer controlled parties doing the same thing. This means that often times a critical chest or object the players have been looking for will be found by someone else, and be gone by the time the players get there. Thankfully these objects can be recovered if the offending party is found and dealt with, either with sword or forked tongue. This game is both a race against time, as well as a battle of steel and wit. The player will have to quickly level their party, and become adept and finding their way, as this game is long, and the journey is rough. But in the end, it is all worth it. Couple this with the recent release of Wizardry VIII, which allows players to import their saved characters into this new adventure, and what you have is the absolute pinnacle of role-playing, and a game not to be missed.
