This expansion pack has been promised to players since long before Star Wars Galaxies was released. At E3 this week we saw a demo of the expansion running at the LucasArts meeting room. We were surprised to hear that people who buy an expansion pack don't have to worry about buying a ship; they get a basic one for free.
Of course, the basic ship won't be the cool ship in space so earning money in the game will allow players to upgrade their ships with better engines, shields and even customising the look of their space ride with decals, colors and more. There will be about 15 ships available for players in the game from the typical Rebel X-Wing fighters all the way to the Milleniuum Falcon style vessel. This particular ship can actually hold several people and you can walk around in it as well as man the famous two laser turrets.
