SpellForce Review

MyGamer has tossed up a review of SpellForce: The Order of Dawn, giving the RTS/RPG hybrid an overall score of 79%. Check it out:
The RPG elements work very well with the game. It's a bit simplified compared to a game like Neverwinter Nights, but it works in a decent fashion. The RTS element of the game is standard fare as RTS games go, but not as polished as the RPG elements. Like the normal RTS game, you have a god-like overhead view of the battlefield (or potential battlefield) and command the units of your army to collect the necessary resources; to build structures and recruit a large enough army to wipe the level clean of your foes. There is a strange twist in the RTS elements though. Normally, in an average RTS game, you have to upgrade your unit's armor and the type of unit's you can recruit through certain structures (and with some cost of resources). This time around, you find artifacts and runes that you equip on your character that gives you the ability that to upgrade.
