Flagship Studios / Namco Partnership Article

GameDaily has a new article in which they discuss the newly formed partnership between Flagship Studios and Namco to publish Flagship's first game. Included in the article are direct quotes from both Bill Roper and Robert Ennis. A snippet:
According to Namco's Ennis, this deal is a part of the company's attempt to grow its U.S. marketplace, through both the expansion of internal and external development and by expanding relationships with partners. "There's a whole PC side that historically we have not participated in. There's a lot of data to back up the thought process that PC isn't where it's at anymore, but we aren't abandoning console to go into PC, we are supplementing our development and publishing efforts to have a complete and well-rounded business model."

Ennis continued, "We didn't want to just start pumping out a bunch of PC titles, we are very focused on developing high quality, triple 'A' titles. To do that we needed to find a business partner that could develop that level of quality. The Flagship guys have proven time and again that they know exactly how to do that. So, for us, it's a perfect partnership."

"The PC side is different in a lot of ways and similar in most ways, "said Ennis. "So, we're not venturing off and developing restaurants, we are making and publishing games."
